Hi, I'm ashley.

Should you have signature cocktails at your wedding?

As a wedding photographer having worked hundreds of weddings, over the years I have seen many different takes on wedding bars, specialty cocktails and more. Through and through it has become evident that I am a huge fan of personalized touches at every stage of the wedding, including cocktail hour, and especially the cocktails themselves – they are their own colorful work of art!

I absolutely love when couples have signature cocktails. Not only is it a fun way to share what you enjoy (even if you have a full bar), but it’s a great starting drink for guests at the beginning of the night. A few times as well, I’ve seen signature “mocktail” options, like the one below, which are always a hit!

Here are some other fun ways to personalize your guests’ cocktail hour experience:

PERSONALIZED BAR SIGNAGE THAT MATCHES THE REST OF YOUR WEDDING DAY SIGNAGE

Not only does this detail add to the overall cohesive design of the wedding day, but it always makes for a more elevated cocktail hour experience.

CUSTOM NAPKINS

You could choose to include a pet, your new shared last name, the wedding date, or even a fun saying you both love! Napkins are a great way to personalize even the small details you might otherwise overlook.

PERSONALIZED STIR STICKS

These are not only practical, but also add a cute touch to the detail photos of cocktail hour within your final photo gallery.

FLORALS

Don’t forget to include floral design in your cocktail hour space! Florals instantly elevate any space and can make your wedding day feel like a more luxury event. It’s so important not to skimp on this important addition!
