Hi there! So you are looking to get married in Chico? The best place to start is finding the venue that’s right for you and your other half. After living in Chico, California for over 25 years and being a wedding photographer for over 4 years, I have had the pleasure of visiting or working at many of the venues in the Chico and Butte County area. With a variety of ranch-style, vintage and classic venues, there is a little something for everyone. Below is a list to consider!
Ranch & Farm Style
The Barn at Pheasant Trial Ranch
Elegance meets country luxury. The Barn at Pheasant Trail Ranch is one of Chico’s top luxury wedding venues. It’s nestled on a private estate in the walnut orchards on the outskirts of North Chico, off highway 99. The Barn was beautifully designed with a wedding day in mind. It has stunning architecture, lush gardens and landscaping, plenty of space for 250+ guest counts, and a top-tier client experience. They also include a day of wedding coordinator, at a minimum with every booking. It’s one of my favorite venues in Northern California.
Patrick Ranch
Romantic & rich in history, Patrick Ranch is located off the Midway between Chico and Durham. Most ceremonies take place in front of the mansion and it makes for a stunning backdrop and has acres of space for your wedding reception, including outdoor and indoor options.

White Ranch
Known for the iconic willow tree, this romantic family ranch has wildlife, kiwi orchards, open fields, and stunning gardens and landscaping. This all-outdoor venue is perfect for summer and fall weddings.

TJ Farms
TJ Farms Estates is only three miles west of the heart of downtown Chico. This 15-acre family owned and operated farm is surrounded by idyllic green orchards on a country lane. The two acres of lush lawn and landscape surrounds the charming 1937 country farmhouse. You and your guests will find waterfalls, ivy-covered trellises, a pristine gazebo surrounded by flowers and gently sloping lawns perfect for your perfect day.

Family Wineries
Gale Vineyards
Gale Vineyards is a beautiful and lush hidden garden setting with vineyards and of course, wine! I’m a big fan of their Sauvignon blanc. This family-owned winery and wedding venue is located in Durham, California, just a short 15 minute drive from Chico.

Almendra Winery & Distillery
Almendra has a beautiful indoor bar and reception space, the ceremony can be outdoors with their vineyards as your backdrop or indoor in their wine cellar room. This venue is outside of Chico in a neighboring town called Durham. It has a unique Spanish-style structure with modern design and is perfect for food and drink enthusiasts.

Iron Gate
Iron Gate is a stunning and well-manicured garden wedding venue. It’s effortlessly timeless without a hint of “rustic” which can be hard to find in this area. I love this venue because it offers so much on site.
