I recently had the pleasure of doing a branding session with Abbi Karge, the owner and perpetually smiling face behind The Simply Social Co. Abbi currently works with clients in the beauty industry, real estate, and an insurance company. She loves small-owned businesses’ personality, and the freedom small businesses create for both the owners and their clients. Abbi helps these small businesses showcase their unique perspective and services through consistent content on their Instagram and Facebook.
Before branding sessions, I always consult with the business owner to understand who they are, who they serve, their ideal client, and why they do what they do. In talking with Abbi, it was interesting to see how the benefits of the service she offers are similar to the benefits I provide to business clients through branding photography. Branding sessions are my opportunity to help my clients capture images that speak to their target audience and showcase their personalities.
Abbi wanted content to share with her current and potential clients that display the upbeat, sunshiney vibe of The Simply Social Co. We created a shot list that included imagery of Abbi working at both her desk and on her phone on social media apps and images of her sustainably focused tiny home where she runs her business. When clients reach out to The Simply Social Co., it’s Abbi that will be directly helping them with their social media marketing, so it’s great for them to see what she does as well as who they are trusting with their online presence.
I love branding sessions because they help tell the story of the business owner to their clients. You can see The Simply Social Co.’s vibrant perspective in all aspects of Abbi’s life. From her home’s bright and airy vibe full of natural light to Abbi’s own casually polished atheistic and pup Olive’s pop of color collar, it’s easy to see how Abbi specializes in helping her clients with consistent, clear branding.
After capturing all the images on our shot list, we had to make sure to snap a couple of pictures of Abbi celebrating with her favorite Friday adult beverage!
