Kendal + Blake live out of state, so I met them for the first time on their wedding day. That typically isn’t normal for me and my client, but they were seriously the sweetest and most easygoing couple so our friendship felt instant. Kendal wore the stunning Galia Lahav “Fabiana” gown featuring lace florals. Her cathedral length veil had large 3D lace florals as well that complimented her dress perfectly. In contrast, Blake wore a classic all-black suit- Johnny Cash style. We arrived to the San Francisco City Hall early to take their portraits, which turned out to be a blessing because City Hall gets so busy in the afternoon due to everyone taking their after-ceremony portraits. Once it was time, we walked up to the fourth floor balcony where their ceremony was held. This is my favorite SF City Hall ceremony location because the lighting is always so nice and soft. After their ceremony, we drove to Napa Valley for their “newlywed engagement session.” We decided on Castello di Amorosa off St Helena Hwy in Calistoga. Because their wedding took place in November, the vines were turning golden as was much of the landscape of Napa Valley, so it was the dreamiest fall location! It was raining a little bit on and off all day, but Kendal + Blake were so laid back about it, they showed up with incredible positive attitudes and we had the best time! As you scroll through some of my favorite moments from their elopement, you’ll notice I used a mix of digital and film throughout the course of the day lending to lots of movement and candid feeling moments which I just love!
