The wedding of Emily + Louis embraced a vibrant ‘Bauhaus’ theme, celebrating modern art with a burst of colors including teal, blue, yellow, pink, green, and red. The ceremony took place at the iconic Palace of Fine Arts rotunda, which, while open to the public, added a unique charm despite navigating around tourists. They even incorporated the visitors into the ceremony, sparking laughter and creating a joyful atmosphere.
Under the guidance of their talented planner, Kellyne from Hand & Heart Weddings & Events, the wedding featured carefully curated details. Fabrics complemented the flat lay designs of invitations, personal details, matchbooks, and enamel pin favors. A beautifully adorned chuppah, lined with flowers, honored Louis’s Jewish heritage with the traditional breaking of the glass ceremony before their final kiss.
Emily and Louis prioritized spending time with their guests, capturing candid moments during an extended cocktail hour filled with custom appetizers like mini bread bowls with clam chowder, oysters, a ceviche bar, and more. Late-night snacks included dim sum and an ice cream truck, showcasing the diverse culinary offerings of San Francisco.
Emily’s look exuded “soft glam and elegant” vibes, with plans for light blue shoes and a white faux fur for the reception, paired with pearl jewelry and a pure white dress, foregoing a veil. Her mother and sister complemented the color scheme with medium blue attire, adding to the wedding’s colorful and eclectic style.
The cocktail hour and reception were hosted at Gallery 308 at Fort Mason Center where stunning florals and intentional ‘Bauhaus’ design created an unforgettable San Francisco, California experience for the wedding guests. The dramatic backdrop of the Palace of Fine Arts added to the grandeur of their celebration, making Emily and Louis’s wedding a true reflection of their style, culture and love.
