Some engagement sessions feel like magic from the start, and Colleen & Trent’s was exactly that. In April, we met in San Francisco for an early sunrise session—yes, it was chilly, and yes, the wind was strong, but these two brought nothing but warmth and joy. With the biggest smiles and contagious laughter, they fully embraced the moment, trusting the process every step of the way. And it paid off beautifully.
Because I often photograph weddings in the Bay Area, I give my clients the option to stack their engagement session around my travel schedule—typically a Friday afternoon or Sunday morning. For Colleen & Trent, that meant an unforgettable Sunday-morning sunrise session at one of the most iconic locations in San Francisco; the Sutro Baths.
We explored every breathtaking spot the area had to offer—walking along the ledge of the old bath walls, wandering through the cypress tree forest, standing at the ocean overlook, and ending the session with sandy toes along the shoreline. The dramatic scenery, combined with their undeniable connection, made for the dreamiest gallery.
These two were a reminder that engagement sessions are about more than just beautiful locations—they’re about feeling the moment, laughing through the cold, and celebrating this exciting chapter together. Colleen & Trent did just that.
