I like to incorporate equal parts of editorial, documentary, and classic photography into your wedding photos. I love each style for different reasons, but I really believe that candid shots are extra special. In this blog I’m going to break down a few reasons why I think that is.

Helping Your Photographer Capture Genuine Moments
When capturing candid moments, I aim to photograph the real you. Even if you notice me or someone from my team in the corner of your eye, continue to interact naturally unless you want a quick photo. I’ll be looking for genuine smiles and moments of laughter. To elevate your candid moments, stay connected to your spouse by visiting guests together and holding hands as you move around.
Dancing Candids
Choose a song that you and your new spouse will drop everything to dance to together to. Often, I capture photos of newlyweds during their first dance but not together on the dance floor later, as they are pulled in many directions. This trick is a fun promise because will result in extra fun dancing photos besides the typical first dance photos.
Focus on Enjoying the Moment
The best candid moments happen when couples are simply enjoying the moment. All the planning and details that led you to this day are complete, so just be yourselves and enjoy the love and celebration around you.
