Arin + Ryan were such good sports for their Bay Area engagement session! We started off their shoot by hiking the long, steep trail to the gorgeous Black Sands Beach. While going up we needed to take a couple of breaks to catch our breath, but we managed and it was worth it… even without having any water with us (note to self: pack a few water bottles next time!!). I recommend checking the tide schedule before going to this spot. We went at low tide so we had plenty of beach and rock formations which provided lots of versatility in their photos. Stay safe, and don’t get to close to the water – it’s a really strong current!
Next we went to the Marin Headlands outlook spot, we did have to circle around the park which was about a 12-minute drive to get back to the overlook since you pass it on the way to Black Sands Beach. This location is always really windy so I recommend couples come prepared with some hair touch-up tools and be willing to embrace the wind! It may not always feel the most comfortable, but it does lend to really fun, artsy photos! Arin + Ryan were blessed with a beautiful, clear day with beautiful views of the golden gate bridge from the outlook. I incorporated a roll of 35-mm film into this session as well to add depth and artistry to their full gallery. The iconic San Francisco views at this location never disappoint! I already can’t wait to go back!!
