This modern American Chinese wedding had a few unique touches to honor heritage. The seating chart tables were named by the Chinese Zodiac Calendar. And for the reception, the bride changed into a traditional Chinese wedding dress! Scroll through the blog to see some of my favorite images from their day and learn a little about the details of the wedding at the bottom.
Essential details to the bride & groom:
The most important parts to them from the day were the vows, the dance party, and incorporating their dogs. The pups were in the ceremony and made an appearance for family photos. They had a dog walking service pick them up and take them to the hotel, so none of the guests had to leave the wedding!
Zach’s Attire:
His vibrant blue tux and cream-colored bowtie complimented the fall colors rust orange, pale pink, emerald green.
Aurelia’s Attire:
She purchased it from Lisimon, Little White Dress in Denver, Colorado.
Note from my experience:
This couple is so incredibly sweet, not only were they a dream to work with, but they also cared deeply for all their guests and even all their vendors. It was important to them that everyone had a good experience, guests, and vendors alike.
About Zach & Aurelia:
Nearly five years ago, two recent college graduates began their careers in Denver. One was a Colorado native entering the finance world. The other, having grown up in California and sent to Denver on a two-year teaching commitment, had not experienced a real winter in her life. Both loved dogs.
The couple first met online when Zach very creatively messaged Aurelia with a “hey, what’s up?” The conversation always flowed easily, and an instant connection was made. For their first date, Zach decided to take Aurelia to the Denver Art Museum since her tolerance for alcohol was nonexistent and “drinks?” wasn’t an option. It felt as if they were old friends just catching up, laughing together the entire time. Fast forward two years when Aurelia was close to finishing up her teaching contract in Denver, Zach introduced Mowgli into their lives and convinced her to stay! Two houses, two dogs, and a whole lot of love and happy memories later, the duo couldn’t be more excited to begin their adventures growing old and gray together.
